Travel reviews for Rajamangala Pavilion Beach Resort
Date of stay: Nov 29, 2011
Accommodation and facilities:
Difficulty in communicating with hotel staff. They do not speak or understand simple English at all, so got problem in communicating with them. That is very frustrating.
We have booked transport to Hotel in advance, but hotel transport did not turn up at the airport to pick us up, even though we have already given our arrival time to them and we waited for almost one hour for the transport to arrive. This is really very bad service, no responsibility at all.

Accommodation and facilities:
A nice quiet resort. Friendly and helpful staff. There are a row of stalls for food if you dislike hotel food. However, it is a little away from the town centre. Need to take a tuk-tuk.The check in was one of the fastest i had experienced - less than 15 seconds!
Reservation service:
Realiable and quick. Helpful.

Accommodation and facilities:
The location was not near to the old city or main town area but it is just right infront of the beach. Not a problem to access to the old city or town area. There are a lot of restaurant just outside the resort. However the receptionist was not so friendly. They should smile more. The breakfast spread was simple. No towels available at the pool side. Overall is ok. The resort is expanding and I supposed the new rooms will be better!

Accommodation and facilities:
We enjoyed a very good stay at the hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, quiet neighbourhood and still close to town and sea. Old town about 15 min walk, sea about 3 min, just across the road. Only one single remark, please do something about WIFI, very poor connection and many times even no possibility to connect.
Reservation service:
booking without any problem, check-in at hotel in less than 5 minutes

Accommodation and facilities:
Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff (not many understand English though so was difficult explaining our requests and didn t always get what we asked for, but we got by). We stayed in a Superior Room which was clean and nicely furnished (simple & tasteful). Bathrooms were clean with spacious shower cubicles. The cable TV, mini-bar and free wi-fi all added to the relaxing feel. Would ve been great if rooms had its own tea/coffee facilities. Architecture and decor of hotel lobby & lounge is lovely - traditional Thai/colonial.
The restaurant, The Chalatat, however could do with a bit of a revamp, i.e chairs would benefit from a reupholster, table mats & centrepieces should be replaced and stage area could do with a revamp as well. Other than that, the restaurant has a nice feel to it and food, we thought, was okay - not too much variety though. Had just one meal there and two breakfasts.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, pleasant stay in Songkhla. It s positoned right across the street from beautiful Samila beach - long stretches of white sand and beautiful warm Gulf waters. Stunning, peaceful place with a real opportunity to interact with the locals.
Reservation service:
Booking service was fast and efficient. Got a prompt response to my enquiry. No problems on check-in. Will definitely use this service again.

Exceptional value for money. Stayed in a first floor poolside room which was huge. The breakfast was pretty average but more than adequate and the staff were helpful and very friendly, Situated on the beach road and within walking distance of many local restaurants , this hotel comes highly reccomended.
