Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach
i originally booked the andaman suite, but on arrival, this couldnt be provided as it had problems with leaks. we were then offered two separate rooms of equal value, but both rooms were so far apart that the following day we chose to move to another closer room, but of lesser value. the hotel did not compensate us for this incovenience in any way. also, the water pressure in some rooms are not good, and they did not do a good job with my laundry.
on a positive note, the breakfast buffet is good and the service is friendly. |
no problems with booking. |

Best Western Ao Nang Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Nopparattara Bay
Very nice hotel, with good location close to Ao Nang beach, and still very quiet in the evenings. Very helpful and friendly staff. I was there during low season, so the hotel was kind of empty, and the breakfast not so good. Would stay here again. |
Everything worked perfect, as allways. |

Ao Nang Beach Resort, Ao Nang, Phranang Beach
Good location on Ao Nang.. on the main road across from the beach. The room was unremarkable but clean. Breakfast was decent, simple toast and eggs everyday. Price seems competitive. Biggest complaint was the staff. The staff was not very friendly or helpful and wanted us to book excursions with them at a higher rate than the agencies all along the street. We found much better prices by going outside the hotel for the same trips, but the hotel staff became a little bitter about this. |
Booking was simple and easy... no problems with paying upfront. |

Tropical Herbal Spa & Resort, Ao Nang, Phranang Bay
The resort is absoilutely beautiful and when we arrived it was blisfully sunny and everywhere looked gorgeous. We stayed in villa 5 which was lovley, a little run downa nd could ahve done with a lick of pain in areas anda bit of updating but lovley nevertheless and loads of character. our bath and shower was outdoors which was so romantic but from day 2 the heavens opened and i ahve to admit that our stay was not so great.bathing in the cold rain or showering is not really as romantic and the loo was outside so you had to run form the villa in the rain to the loo everytime you went outside and get soaked. The only wardrobe was outdoors by the loo and this meant all our clothes were constantly damp and no where to dry anything so we had to get eerything laundered. this is however very reasonable.
We did however manage to ahve a lovley aromatic bath run for us one evening when the rain stopped and the staff filled with oils and flowers and fresh fruit laid out next to the bath which was heavenly and i would definitley recommend. The massages are also brilliant and i would recommend these in numerous quantities as so relaxing and gorgeous setting whether raining or not.
The staff were a pleasure and went out of their way to make our stay as lovley as possible, the only real downfall i would say is that no one warned us it would be monsoon and that the restuarnt would also be closed so the brochure detailling all the lovley food you could ahve was not really accurate, although a good breakfast was served each morning.
did i mention the building site next door? Oh yes we were woken up every morning at 7.30am by hammering and banging as abuilding was erected next door, this was something else we were not warned about
All in all a beatiful place to stay in high season when the sun is shining znd the building has stopped.
Personally i would probably no come back though as we were not very impressed with Ao nang as a whole and found it very touristy and a bit like benidorm in Asia. When the sun is out however i am sure everything improves and i take my hat off to the resort and their staff for making a bad situation a lot better. |
Booking service was very efficient but if had been more personable maybe we would have been told about the building works and the time of year we chose to go in not being ideal. |

Araya Buri Resort, Phi Phi Island, Laem Hin
We were delighted in our tay at Araya Buri Resort. The service was excellent and the rooms were very clean and well located with a fantastic view over the water. Even though it was wet season it worked out very well - in fact better because there were not so many tourists and we got to see some great storms from our balcony. 5 star rating from us. We booked through Your site booking agency online - they were most efficient and the prices very reasonable. |

Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort, Phi Phi Island, Phak Nam Bay
Awsome
Away from the hustle and bustle of Tonsai Bay where its full of other tourists spoiling the very thing you went there to see. This place is VERY relaxing minus the hike to Tonsai but nice scenery along the way. When they say the hike is 1hour for a grandmother, they forget to mention thats its for an eventual grandmother and she s still in her 20 s and in prime shape.
Awsome snorkling area.

I thought I would be able to pay for the entire reservation via my credit card. Should say somewhere that the rest has to be paid in cash. I had to hike to tonsai because I used my spending money for the hotel and I had to go exchange currencies. aside from that it was good. |
