BLACK TIP DIVE RESORT Koh Tao - Thailand
Welcome to Black Tip Diving & Water
Sports. We are a PADI Gold Palm IDC resort located in Koh
Tao, Thailand. We have two convenient locations on the island in Mae
Haad and Aow Tanote. Our main dive shop and resort are located in
quiet and relaxed Aow Tanote on the east side of the island. In
Tanote Bay, renowned for its snorkeling, you will be able to spot some
of our usual residents: turtles, parrot fish, Blue Spotted
Stingrays, Jenkins Whip Rays, butterfly fish, scorpion fish, file
fish and of course the Black Tip Reef Sharks, for which our resort
is named.
Away from the crowds, with a relaxed, unspoiled
beach, it is renowned by snorkellers and divers for its abundance of
marine life and clear visibility. Many species of fish, coral,
sponges, anemones, snails, sting rays, reef sharks, sea snakes and
turtles, incl. the endangered Hawks Bill turtle, inhabit this
beautiful little bay.
We have several types of bungalows available and
all rooms come with hot water, western toilet and 24 hour
electricity.
An
economy room comes with double bed, shared bathroom
(shared only between 2 rooms) and garden view. The economy is
ideal for families/groups as the 2 rooms are joined in the middle by
the shared bathroom. The price is per room. There is a maximum of 2
persons per room.
A
standard bungalow comes with double bed or twin beds,
private bathroom, verandah, garden view and your choice of
fan or A/C. There is a maximum of 2 people per room.
An
Economy Standard bungalow has double bed, private balcony
and private bathroom and sea view. However, this room does NOT have
hot water shower or A/C. There is a maximum of 2 person per a room.
Please note that this room is slightly higher up the hill and it
takes about 5 - 10 minutes to get down to the beach from these
rooms.
An
Economy Family Bungalow can accommodate a maximum of 3 people. It comes with one double bed
and one single bed, private bathroom, verandah, garden view
and your choice of fan or A/C.
A Family
Bungalow

one single bed, fridge, private bathroom, verandah, garden view
and your choice of fan or A/C.
The Deluxe
bungalow can accommodate a maximum of 4 people. It comes with 2
double beds in the same bungalow TV, fridge, private balcony, garden
view and your choice of fan or A/C.
Black Tip Dive Resort & Water Sport Center offers:
PADI
courses :
are built like a ladder: first you learn the basics in the Open Water
course, and then you gain more knowledge about other types of diving
equipment and techniques on the Advanced course. Next a Rescue Diver
learns about preparing form avoiding and dealing with emergencies. A Dive
master is the first level of the professional diver ratings when you can
start to work and make money from diving. You must complete each course in
order to progress to the next level.
Fun
dives : For certified fun divers there are several options to
choose from. Throughout the week we dive at a variety of the 30+ dive
sites surrounding Koh Tao. In the mornings we do 2 dives from the boat.
Surface intervals are also on the boat. And while you are waiting you can
be seated upstairs on the sun deck (where half the deck is covered) or be
seated inside on the lower deck. There is also water, tea, biscuits,
fruit, and toilet on board for your convenience. These prices include all
equipment and Dive Master assisted dive tours.
