One of your reception ladies had alot of trouble understanding our english and was therefore not able to help us with certain things/requests.... But your beach-staff were VERY friendly, helpfull and service-minded! We would return anytime!

My partner and I stayed at Le Vimarn for four nights in May 2011 during our 3 week stay in Thailand. The accommodation was great, nice wooden floors, balcony, A/C, great views of the sea, friendly staff etc. Although there s only 3 resorts on the west side of Ko Samet, there is enough to keep you occupied and still enough peace and quiet to relax. The water was good for swimming, kayaking etc...however there was a lot of rubbish in the sea and washing up on the beach...seems that this is the case for Ko Samet and Ko Kood. Would definitley reccommend le Vimarn as a place to stay for relaxation and romance!

Resort is pretti nice even tuo not worth of the money requested , servire anyhow is a disaster not only for the gay they babele the ossida but Aldo for lack of personali ... Afte 10.30 pm the emploies disappear and you can die as tilt morning at 7.00 am nobody is available ! I was looping for sugar for coffe at 22.45 and i coupé go around alzo inside the kitchen checking eveywhere to Find it but nobody was there in spitenof me yelling or calino for gelo

Le Vimarn was perfectly located with beautiful beach access and scenery. The room was great and equipped with lovely decor, a spacious bathroom and a well-stocked mini bar. The pool and beach-front lounge chairs were wonderful. However, the food and service at the O restaurant were inconsistent. The meals ranged from great to uneatable. One evening the staff was waxing the floors during dinner hours and the smell was so toxic we had to take our expensive dinner to our room. The coffee and tea at breakfast were made with tap water, not bottled, so the smell and taste of the beverages was not good. Service on the beach was hard to get as there was only one waiter and he was difficult to find. The electricity went out one evening when we were getting ready for dinner and one morning the water was off. For the money, I expected better service and consistent high-quality food.

Le Vimarn is a lovey get-away location. Very relaxing. I think the staff needs to continue to improve their ability to provide 4-star service by improving english language skills signficantly. It is not where it needs to be for a hotel of this price category.

When we arrived at Le Vimarn and were shown our room (Spa Villa), we were very disappointed because the room was old, muggy and smelly. We asked to change to another Spa Villa and then got one in - as we suppose - the new part of the resort. At the same time like our booking, I also made a booking for a Deluxe cottage for our friends: this Deluxe cottage was by far better than the first Spa Villa we were assigned to and which is not worth half of the price it does cost.

Lovely peaceful bay away from the noise and litter found on the beaches on other parts of the island. Rooms are good as is pool and dining area. Food in the main restaurants is good and lovely in Buzz restaurant. More expensive than other parts of the island but to be expected - prices are reasonable. Cocktails are very good.... Staff are poliet and friendly. Lima Coco next door hotel also do nice food at cheaper prices, good for lunch etc.

The cottages and location are lovely. The quality of the food is not so good, and is overpriced. I was surprised that we were charged 1200 baht extra each evening for Chinese New Year, and yet the accommodations were not full, nor did the hotel put any entertainment on for this holiday. The spa is lovely.

Die beste Hotelanlage die ich kenne. Der Service einfach perfekt. Der Strand sauber und mehrmals am Tage gereinigt. War jetzt das dritte Mal mit Freunden hier, auch sie waren begeistert. Unser Bungalow war etwas versteckt, somit hatten wir keinen Meerblick wie es in den Prospekten und Homepage für jedes Bungalow garantiert wird. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Wir kommen wieder.

Very peaceful and comfortable hotel. The Ao Prao side (west) of Ko Samed is the place for a quiet relaxing break and is in complete contrast to the much busier, dirtier & noisier Sai Kiew side. Only go there if you are looking for a Pattaya style break! A map of how to find the right boat pier in Ban Phe would be good. We got lost and had to take a private charter boat.

i would have preferred to speak to someone and get some detail of what room types were available. Room was ok but that was more through good luck i think.

I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The location is beautiful, the room outstanding - private balcony - view on the sea. All the staff were brilliant. I cant see how they can improve on what they have done there. Only one minor thing - their restaurant only serves Italian food, not something we came to Thailand for ... but there are a couple of great restaurants that serve great Thai seafood just a lazy stroll down the beach from where we were. Getting to and from the more build up and busy part of the island is a 10 min ride on taxis that are always on standby. You could also rent a motorcycle or even better, an ATV (four wheels) which are great fun for getting around on bumpy dirt roads. Over all the island is great and well managed and has all the activities you could want. You are never harassed by people trying to sell you things you don t want. It still has a sleepy undeveloped charm to it. There is a mix of backpackers, couples, honeymooners and young families with kids. All good clean relaxing fun. We will definitely be going back!
