Chaloklum Bay Resort, Chaloklum Bay I don t recommend this hotel. The service is awful, bongalow interior is poor. They clean our room only when I asked to do it. They took 4 towels, but brought only 3, one of which was with a big hole and so on. The manager said: we have many guests now (!). The restaurant is so so, the food is very salt and there are no any fresh fish or seafood (despite its location on a beach). We stayed here in family bongalow only 3 days, then mooved to Ko Samui. |
Booking is OK, but you shouid remember that they don t return money if you want to check out earlier. |

Loyfa Bungalow, Srithanu Beach We felt that Loyfa was severely over priced for the New Years season and insisted on a minimum stay of 7 days. We wished we had waited to get to Koh Phangnan to find a place to stay as there were loads of places that weren t featured on the popular accomodation websites that still advertised vacancies and seemed to have better/nicer/more suitable facilities.
Room was as described but wasn t cleaned once in our 7 day stay. The bungalows are situated in a very peaceful area of the island but it definitely means you have to hire a motorbike or use a lot of (expensive) taxi s to get around. Unfortunately Loyfa didn t have enough bikes available for the demand of it s customers so we had to hire one from other places near by.
The beaches are not incredibly idyllic but then again not many on the island appear to be. There is a large fishing boat dock to the right of the bungalows which is shown on maps as beach...it s not.
We were made to feel a bit guilty for not eating in the bungalow restaurants regularly with comments such as we ve not seen you in a long time and similar.
On the upside, the owners were friendly and made an effort to remember our names and their onward journey booking service was very good. |
Not as easy to use as other websites as it required constant emails to inquire about availabilities, although, the booking seemed to be fine once we found a suitable place to stay. |

Seaview Thansadet, Than Sadet Beach Firstly the pictures on this place are nothing like it in real life. The bungalows are a very steep and long walk away from the beach. The place is meant to have a restaurant but there is hardly ever anyone there to make you food and when there is a limited selection as to what you can order, so you generally have to trek to the beach side for even food. Our bungalows were very shabby, the shower was not working for 2 days and in our other bungalow the lights were not working. There are holes in floor boards and the place smells badly. Nevermind all of that, we are fine with a bit of roughness. On our 3rd day there we wanted to speak to him about the shower and the lights but he was no where to be found we waited a while but we wanted to get on with our day so we left. We only came back at night and went to go speak to him, he got very cross with all of my friends asking us why we came so late to speak to him, he shouted at my friends infront of the other guest it was completely out of line, still we did nothing. In the morning we all decided we had enough and we wanted to leave a day early and go stay at the place below. We decided we d try ask for our money while we were at it. We went to speak to the main guy Pak or what ever he is called. We told him the story from the beginning and he was very defensive and blatantly rude. Telling us to f-off, we were very calm and were just trying to come to some sort of conclusion that would suit all of us, we knew we would probably have to leave the money and just go but we wanted to make a point. After a few minutes of talking, he said to us do we have a problem & he was scratching through his laptop brief case, he pulled out a gun & held it to me and my friend s boyfriend and said if you have a problem with my i have a big problem with you. After that we just said ok fine we re going, we packed our stuff and that was it. Tomorrow we are going to report it to the police we have just been too busy & we didnt want to report it when we were in the area because we were scared. I would really appreciate it if you did not recommend anyone to this place, this guy is crazy the bungalows are over priced and underworked! Thank you |
The booking service was good. The place was a night mare, literally |

Royal Orchid Resort, Maehaad Beach This hotel is owned by a very bad man. During our time at the resort, 4 people were drowning. I asked to grab the life jackets and the owner leyt us. However after the whole debacle, the life jackets were lost and the owner made us pay for them.
Also we booked for a ferry from Koh Phanang to Surat Thani at 7 in the morning. We paid our ticket fare to the owner. He gave us no ticket and said that we just had to mention his hotel name to the boat man once we got to the pier. After we reached the pier, the boat man refused us entry and we had to re purchase tickets. Absolute rubbish of a place as it is also very far from Harin Beach where full moon party is. |
Your site is a great site. |

Asia Bungalows, Salad Beach This is a beautiful and simple place right on the stunning beach of Haad Salat. We recommend it to all and really look forward to going back. Make sure to book a beach front room if you can. |

Haadlad Prestige Resort & Spa, Salad Beach Stayed there for 5 nights, and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this resort. Very expensive for what it offers- which is: poor location (45 min away from Haad Rin), the beach is not great, poor breakfast buffet, and nothing else is included. You have to pay extra for spa and all that. New Year s dinner was 100 USD and very, very lame. As you can see, I was very dissappointed. However, some friends stayed over at Green Papaya which is right next to it. So if you like to be away from Haad Rin in a nice place, thats the one. good luck! |

Panviman Resort Koh Phangan, Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi Although a bit far from everything else, Panviman Resort is in one of the best locations in Koh Phangan to rest and relax. Its pools, rooms and facilities are by far one of the best I had seen, and staff are very hospitable. It is up a large hill which was hard to walk up, but gave great views on the beach and sea below. I highly recommend this resort for couples wanting to spoil themselves in luxury, and being far away from all the troubles of busy cities. |
Easy and quick. |

Central Cottage, Thong Nai Pan Yai Nice rooms, very poor staff - cleaners used Polaroid camera while in the room and when caught offered no apology. Was there NY, we had 3 rooms and all were went through as things were moved, lights on etc, although thankfully nothing was taken. Food was poor. |

Coconut Beach Bungalows, Haad Khom Beach Overall, this place was just OK. It s quite far from any civilization, and takes a good 15 minute motor bike ride to get anywhere. FABULOUS if it s sunny the whole time but might be worth changing plans if it rains. There are only 2 beach front bungalows. Worth it to book them early. |
Very helpful. Hotel, however, tried to claim I hadn t paid. |
