Accommodation and facilities:
We ve just got back from a very nice vacation spent at the Pavillion Rim Resort in Kanchanaburi.
I have to say that at first when I chose this resort and I read the reviews I was a bit reluctant to go there.Well,we had a great time.We have three children and they enjoyed the resort so much!
I feel really sorry for those who wrote such negative reviews about the Pavillion Rim resort.
It s a very beautiful place, the hotel staff are more than friendly and everything we asked for we got within seconds. The superior room is quite large the beds are very big and the bathroom has everything you need and it s also very clean. It s true that we have a car and it made so much easier for us to travel around, but the resort is very nicely located between Kanchanaburi and the Erawan Waterfall.
Breakfast is standard American breakfast. There are 2 beautiful swimming-pools. Very good value for money!
Reservation service:
We used Sawadee.com which is very fast and efficent.Congratulations!

Accommodation and facilities:
I have been twice in the resort because of its location. I went to Kanchanaburi to buy rocks and stones and the resort is conveniently located. However the resort seems to be run down a litle. The prices are at the high side for what they offer. The park is beautiful. The food is awful. One should avoid to eat there for dinner or lunch. The breakfast is OK.
Reservation service:
The booking service is good.

Accommodation and facilities:
the strong point of the hotel:
1) very good mountain view from our room, especially at sunset; 2) very good river view from canteen; 3) very big, quiet, beautiful and well-designed compound; 4) spacious room, lobby...
the weak point of the hotel:
not as intimate as we expected; more suitable for conference etc, instead of individual trip;
Reservation service:
efficient and friendly

Accommodation and facilities:
This hotel is set in very luxurious gardens and is in a lovely peaceful setting. The hotel is in a quiet place right next to the River Kwai. The American breakfast (included) was really good, with lots of variety. We were very disappointed that the pool overlooking the River Kwai was green and was not suitable for swimming. Sadly this is typical of many Thai hotels. The service was very friendly and helpful. No gym and no spa!

Accommodation and facilities:
Fantastic, mostly quiet hotel, located outside of town, with an incredible friendly an helpful staff and management. Have stayed here twice and if I am ever in the neighbourhood I will stay here again! In beatiful environment with kwai river view from some balconys. Close to Tiger temple, Saiyok waterfall,Erawan national park and Hellfire Pass. These sights are all worth a visit. Food fantastic as well and not expensive. Renting a minivan from the hotel to make excursions is a nice option even for people that do not go for trekking. Thanks to Mr Pangsith and the staff I give it my warmest recommendations.
Reservation service:
Efficient and good but we dont like to have to pay full amount in advance, if we are prevented from staying at the hotel by causes not in our control (such as accidents, family matters etc) we do not get any refund at all and this we cannot accept.

Accommodation and facilities:
Despite its location (37 Kms far away from the town centre!), the Pavilion Rim Kwai is still a very nice property with a good value for money, even if it is going down. Maintenance is really bad along the whole property.
Totally unbelievable the front office staff: they don t speak a word of english or any other language but Thai...
Reservation service:
Perfect as usual. Thank you!

This hotel is always a pleasure for us, we stayed there for the 4th time, even though it´s sometimes loud on weekends. The nearby Nichigo Golf Resort has one of the best golf course I know. We plan to come again.

Many thanks to Sawadee. Our credit deposit went through with no problems. Until next time. Regards, Adolf

LOCATION MAP
Kanchanaburi is an extended
province that borders Myanmar to the west, surrounded with national
parks, rivers, dams and magnificent scenery. The terrain of
Kanchanaburi is comprised mainly of mountains and high plains. The
range is the source of Kanchanaburi's two most important rivers;
Kwai Noi and Kwai Yai. As a result, several of Thailands largest
waterfalls and most extensive wildlife sanctuaries are found in this area.
Beautiful scenery is not the only attraction this
destination offers. Whether its fishing, rafting, canoeing, mountain
biking, golfing, elephant and jungle trekking, tiger ranch, or war
museum, Kanchanaburi takes pride in offering them all.
Kanchanaburi is also the location of the notorious Death Railway,
and the Bridge on the River Kwai, one of the worlds most famous
World War II sites which has been immortalized in print and film,
including David Leans Oscar winning film "The Bridge over the River Kwai".
