Tri Yaan Na Ros Colonial House is located at Wualai Road – Chiang Mai. The building's character combines influences of Chinese housing, the lifestyle of the native Lanna people and continental architecture. All building materials are from our native province of Chiang Mai so as to be in great keeping with our climate and also to retain a true sense of Lanna history. The chambers of Tri Yaan Na Ros are designed in keeping with the influences of the glory days of Chiang Mai (King Rama V reign). The influence of missionaries, Chinese life and Lanna cultures appear in the teak wood furniture and the decorations and Burmese silks in natural heartwood hue resemble the environment of well over a century ago.
Accommodation and facilities:
Though this is a great little guest house that we would go back to in a heartbeat, one should be aware of 2 faults: transport to town can be a hassle and the rooms are on the small(but beautifully furnished)size.

This is a beautiful little hotel with lovely rooms - if a bit on the small side. The hotel is a bit out of the way and we had several taxi drivers who got lost even with the directions written in Thai. Give the restaurant a miss - for snacks only.
Reservation service:
Excellent.

Giudizio sicuramente ottimo.

Was there with my girlfriend, both liked it very much: Room was beautifully decorated, with love for details (pictures, colours), very clean - just wonderful. Overall place esp. pool area is very tranquil as well.
-> Highly recommended, unless you bring insect repellent!

The hotel is charming, but rooms doesn t worse that price. you can find better hotels in chiang Mai, closer to city center and restaurants. The staff is not very friendly, and despite we asked a double bed, the only room remaining was with twin beds. Not very nice for a honeymoon !
Reservation service:
very efficient

Accommodation and facilities:
Tri Yaan Na Ros is quite charming, the architecture is unique however the rooms are extremely dark which gives the impression that the rooms aren t as clean as they can be. The staff is friendly, but not very time sensitive (i.e. have a plane to catch). Also the hotel is not well situated - if you don t want to eat in their restaurant (limited menu), the nearest next option is a 10 minute walk. In the price class for Chiang Mai, I have stayed in better hotels. Also, if booking a room for 1 or 2 people, be sure to ask for a room with only 1 bed in it. The rooms are quite small and with 2 double beds the rooms are VERY cramped.
Reservation service:
No problems but didn t have any special requests.

My friend and I totally fell in love with this little cozy, private yet stylish boutique hotel. The location is excellent, with the saturday market right outside the door and other attractions and restaurants just a 5 to 10 minute ride on a tuk tuk.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, from making recommendations on spa and day trips to booking us tuk tuk at night.
The room does get a bit dark esp. at night but the owner was trying to re-create the living environment during the old days when there was little or no eletricity. It didnt bother us too much except when we were trying to find some small things in our suitcases.
The breakfast is very simple but there are scrambled eggs and bacon/sausages on request. For those who desire a more traditional thai breakfast, there is a little noodle shop 2 minute walk from the hotel which serves delicious soup noodle (costs only 20 baht).
The hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip and would love to return one day!

Very efficient service, will definitely use the service again for my next trip to Thailand!

my stay at the lovely tri yaan na ros was of a good experience. small, quiet and friendly it was the perfect stay for myself away a few day s from familie duties. away from the bustling streets of chiang mai but yet close to all amenities i would defenetly go back on my next trip. most taxi knew the place but recommend you have a thai written adress with you in case. although the rooms a bit dark for reading they re cosy. breakfast could have a little more variety but was good as such and i appreciated much the coffee maschine! I recommend the hotel for singels or couples. keep it up and see you soon
