Navalai River Resort, Khaosan Road area, Phranakorn
First Class Hotel. Perfect location right on the river at pier 13 giving direct access to the river boat. It is also a 5/10 minute walk to Kho San Road. We stayed in the corner room which had view to another building, which was quieter than the city view room (road noisey), but not as nice as the river view which is approx £10 - £15 more expensive. Downside of hotel was service - we ate in the restaurant one evening but would not recommend it as the main meal came out 2 mins after the starter, and the main meal (steak) was not good and nearly cold. Then the bill was wrong....overcharged, however they immediately corrected this. I would recommend restaurant for snack food....sandwiches etc. We also ordered room service for one meal and glass of wine.....they forgot to bring the wine. Apart from this I would definitely recommend the hotel, the rooms were newly & beautifully decorated with good size balconies (perfect if you smoke!)and also for the roof top swimming pool with excellent views accross the city.
Our request was for corner room for 3 nights, for which we received an email confirming availability and requesting payment. I sent payment and then received a further email to advise the room was only available for 2 nights and we would need to change to city view for last night (we had already arrived at hotel). This was our last night before returning to Ireland, so was dissapointing. Tried to speak to reception staff but they did not understand (or pretended not to)- considering their emails were word perfect!!

First Hotel, Petchburi Road, Soi 11
First I planned to stay in Baiyoke Suite Hotel, then beacuse of the hotel fully booked so I was shipped into the First Hotel. Hotel is good, and food is ok and it is vey suitable for me and family. Especially closed to street food and shopping area. To be honest, next time I am going to Bangkok, I will stay in this Hotel again.
Booking from this your site is very easy and friendly people. Acctually I had a chance to speak directly with one of the staff regarding my changing plan to stay in different Hotel. I will recommend my friend and others to use this travel agent

Sawasdee Bangkok Inn, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo
The staff were very friendly and the room was nice and clean. The staff carried our luggage up the stairs when we arrived. Pat the manager had good conversations with us at meal times and it was so good to speak to someone that could talk such good English. The Hotel was very handy to all the markets and it was quiet at night so we could get our sleep.
Excellent and no mistakes. We decided to go home 2 days early this is why we did not come back for the last 2 days. Thank you for your help, we enjoyed our stay in Thailand but it is good to be back home in Australia.

Baan Sukhumvit Soi 20, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 20
The hotel is very very small, the room also, mine had no view. There are only a very few tv-stations. I would never stay there again.

Sawasdee Khaosan Inn, Khaosan Road area, Chakrapong
It was an average stay. There was no hot water yet it was a more expensive hotel than others around that area. When we tried to check in after the struggle to find the place, the reception were doing too many things at once and not servicing customers very well. The beds were comfy though and the rooms were pretty clean. TV was a bonus with air con!

Shangri-La Hotel, Riverside, New Road
The Shangri-La hotel in Bangkok, is very nice. Very friendly and serviceminded personnel. I can recommend the Horizon club wing with VIP-service and complimentary breakfast and afternoon snack. Room very comfortable.
Worked ok, difficult to get back to the reserveration to do changes

Queen`s Garden Resort at River View, Airport - nearby Suvarnabhumi
Small older out of the way (down an ally from main road) hotel without elevator, but many staff there to help with bags. Drive to airport about 10 minutes early in the morning. Room O.K for one night, bathroom old Thai style with shower in toilet area. A little noisey with planes taken off at night. Would only recomment for one overnight stay for people taking early flight out next day.
